this has been the best christmas --- probably because i know it will be totally different next year
holiday classics was amazing. it meant so much to me. honestly its was a combination of everything i love---theatre, choir, my best friends, and all of last year's seniors. highlights from the skit were definitely having the coat rack screwed into the floor and in retrospect being just as blonde as my character. as for the music, it just comes from so deep that after the run was over, i was exhausted in the best way. there is no rose was perfect, and silent night was so gorgeous that everything flooded back on christmas eve when we sang it at church. thank you. <3 not to mention that was definitely the best north choir party ever ;)
the snow day on the last day couldn'tve happened at a worse time! it fell on a vital day for english, plus it was the senior field trip~dang it. but the worst part was that the beauty and the beast cast list was supposed to be posted, and now it wont be until we go back to school, on the additional schemingly significant 3rd of january...dang
so yeah, beauty and the beast auditions were fun, and i love the choreographer because we're doing ballet <3 but i totally bombed my callback. anyway, there weren't callbacks for anyone except belle and mrs potts, and i wasnt called back for gaston :(
top reasons why i'd be the freakin best gaston ever
1) skills: i've got the uncle rico bicep flex down like no other
2) i split firewood up north all week---"i'm a lumberjack and i'm ok!" gotta love monty python
3) it's economical!--- if i'm gaston, we won'
t need to order a muscle suit! i come already equipped ;)
4) GOOD NEWS, THAT HE-MAN'S ME!
anyway, yeah
friday was sweet anyway because i made christmas cookies, and then celeste and sat nam came in to work. we found a "how the grinch stole christmas" in latin!! and we still had magistra's cell # from the madison field trip, so they called her and apparently hooked her up with it in time for christmas. io saturnalia!
friday night pat and i went skating. it was awesome.
christmas eve was great because it was really laid back. the sushi didnt hurt either <3 i love watching people open up their presents. my biggest surprises were the quilt my grandma started for me and the stereo from my mom. its a shelf unit for my dorm next year, and it beats the $#!+ out of my old pimp system with a record player. it was literally manual---you had to smack it every once in awhile cause the sound cut out.
i just got back from up north. there wasn't enough snow to ski, but we did the christmas thing again with family up there, and then i ice skated, ice fished, snowball fought, and played a lot of poker with my brother and cousins.
and now i'm back, and in for a great week! <3
